Lalita Taylor
Founder and Creative Director
The Founder and Creative Director of Southwick Media, Lalita is an expert communications campaign strategist and a social media specialist skilled at boosting profiles and creating online buzz. She has over 30 years of multi-media experience working in BBC News, and is a digital trainer, consultant, and events organiser with the BBC Academy’s Fusion Digital initiative, with special focus on social media good practice and digital innovation. Lalita is full of original, creative ideas to maximise coverage and reach target audiences.
Stephanie Kane
Strategic Technology Campaign Specialist
Stephanie has over 22 years of experience in technology communications and PR developed across long term agency and in-house roles. Most recently VP of Global Communications at FTSE 100 consumer cybersecurity company, Avast, Stephanie and her team led the creation and execution of PR award-winning brand campaigns. Stephanie is Southwick Media’s comms specialist for strategic technology campaigns, storytelling and messaging platforms, crisis and reputation management, corp comms and M&A support, tech thought leadership articles and blogs, internal comms, and executive profile development.
Emily Buchanan
Film Maker and Storyteller
Emily has more than 30 years’ experience in BBC TV and radio as an award-winning world affairs correspondent and presenter. At the BBC, she specialised in making films about development issues and religion in some of the toughest parts of the world. Emily is now a Media Specialist working with Southwick Media making campaign films and passing on her presentation and interview skills to others, as well as her understanding of storytelling, writing and how the media works.
Sophia Dettmer
Media Messaging and Comms Specialist
Sophia is a BBC trained multi-media news journalist, charity PR consultant and former Head of Communications for a UK children’s charity. She has a broad base of communication and production skills gained over 22 years at the BBC and from more than 10 years working in charity PR. With Southwick Media, Sophia specialises in identifying newsworthy stories, helping clients with media messaging, executing PR campaigns, writing and selling in press releases, arranging media launches and appearances, media advice and training, website copy writing.
Leanne Alie
Award-winning Podcast Creator
Leanne Alie is a podcast producer, presenter and all round creative. She is currently a Development Producer within BBC Sounds, focusing on diverse narratives, she also developed the very first BBC Sounds Audio Lab, which is an accelerator programme that commissions new podcasts from up-and-coming creators, to tell stories from under represented groups; hence breaking down the barriers to entry, changing the way that BBC Sounds commissions podcasts from individual creators. She is also the host and creator of the multi-award-winning Coiled podcast; a documentary podcast exploring Black hair in all its forms and textures. Leanne's passions lie within making content for diverse audiences and is an advocate for diversity and inclusion within the audio industry.
